Wilbur Daily Bostic, 91

Wilbur Daily Bostic, 91, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1935, in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of Lester Daily Bostic and Frances Maude Pickett Bostic. He married Margaret Louise Ryle on February 19, 1955. Wilbur was a graduate of St. Paul High School and worked for many years at Ford Motor Company. He was a proud member of the Eagles and enjoyed spending his free time doing the things he loved. An accomplished bowler, Wilbur also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. He played softball, and was proudly named most valuable player by his teammates. He cherished the friendships and memories made through these activities and the time spent with family and friends. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Wilbur is survived by his children, Amy (Darin) Lucas, Peggy (Frank) Dean, Glenn (Terrie) Bostic; his brother, Ray (Peggy) Bostic; his nine grandchildren, Bobbie, Tracy, James, Jeraby, Paige, Tyler, Aaron, Seth, and Gabe, as well as several great grandkids and nieces and nephews; and his beloved special friend, Mary Bostic and her daughter Gayle McIntyre. He was preceded by his parents and his wife. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 11:00 am until the start of the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Bostic will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Anew Hospice in Indianapolis.
