'Wicked' Broadway actor runs NYC marathon, hops on stage for two performances
Jordan Litz finished the 26.2-mile NYC Marathon in 3:40:53 before performing two 'Wicked' shows, showcasing his endurance and dedication to his craft.
- On Sunday, Broadway performer Jordan Litz completed the New York City Marathon and left Central Park to perform the 2 p.m. matinee and 7 p.m. evening shows of Wicked.
 - Litz, who trained for months, sometimes ran 18 or 19 miles before double performances as Prince Fiyero while preparing for the marathon and staying with the `Wicked` cast since May 2023.
 - He finished in 3:40:53 with an average pace of 8:26 minutes per mile on the 26.2 miles course through all five New York boroughs after a race start just after 9 a.m. ET.
 - Litz focused on refueling and stretching because the `Wicked` stage has a two-degree incline, and producers noted marathon fatigue plus dance moves raise injury risk, leaving his legs jelly from training.
 - On Nov. 1, Jordan Litz's marathon-plus-two-show plan reached Saturday Night Live Weekend Update, joining celebrity runners Anthony Ramos and Phil Keoghan in the New York City Marathon.
