Fuel: ADAC Calls for Priority for E10 at Petrol Stations

Big change in road traffic: At the petrol station, drivers will probably soon be looking for their preferred petrol variety in vain.

The ADAC argues for the increased use of Super E10 at German petrol stations: the fuel with a biofuel share of up to ten percent is cheaper and more environmentally friendly than E5.

E10 harms the engine - this prejudice at the pump is stubborn. This is no longer true anymore. Nevertheless, most Germans continue to resort to the more climate-damaging E5. This has to change urgently, says the ADAC and, together with service station operators, pleads for changes to the rules.

Most petrol drivers could also refuel the cheaper Super E10 - but they don't. ADAC and service station operators are in favour of changing the rules.
