Poland's Constitutional Court declared that the aims and activities of the Polish Communist Party (KPP) are incompatible with the Constitution and therefore ordered the immediate banning of this political formation in that country.
President Karol Nawrocki has argued that the KPP, which has no institutional representation, promotes "totalitarian methods."
Article 13 of the Polish Constitution provides for the prohibition of parties or organizations whose programmes are based on “totalitarian” or “totalitarian” methods.
