Cooper Flagg and Arianna Roberson’s Romance Sends Shockwaves Through American Basketball
Fans had speculated for weeks after the pair were seen together and Roberson attended Flagg’s Rookie of the Year press conference.
On Thursday, Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg and Duke University center Arianna Roberson confirmed their relationship on social media. Roberson posted a TikTok featuring the pair holding hands on a Turks and Caicos vacation, while Flagg shared a kissing selfie on Instagram Stories.
Speculation regarding the couple intensified last month when Roberson attended Flagg's NBA Rookie of the Year press conference. Fans previously suspected a connection after observing the pair vacationing at the same location simultaneously.
The two athletes overlapped at Duke University, where both entered the program in 2024. While Flagg departed after one season to join the Mavericks, Roberson recently completed her debut season following a freshman year sidelined by a knee injury.
Roberson's older brother, Andre Roberson, is a seven-year NBA veteran who spent most of his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He played his final season with the Brooklyn Nets.
Following his Rookie of the Year win, Flagg and Roberson have moved past fan speculation to acknowledge their relationship. Flagg narrowly defeated his former Duke teammate Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets for the award.
