Big Mountain caps season with nearly 500,000 skier visits

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s 2024-25 ski season saw great snow initially, an early spring and then a second winter when March served up a couple legit powder days. The mountain received a total of 282 inches of snow during the season.

It was a record year for the Mont Grand-Fonds ski resort, marked by exceptional conditions and new developments that were most expected. An increase of 19% in traffic is marked by the mountain. Montana’s Whitefish Mountain Resort had an excellent season as far a skier visits go, clocking in 497,000 for winter 2024/2025, just shy of their all-time record set in 2022-2023 with just over 500,000. Skier visits are quantified by each time a lift ticket, season pass or frequent skier card is scanned for the first time on a given day.
