Whatfix: Whatfix Appoints Cofounder Vara Kumar as CEO After Khadim Batti’s Death
Vara Kumar will lead Whatfix’s next phase of growth after the death of co-founder Khadim Batti, the company said.
Whatfix announced that co-founder Vara Kumar has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, succeeding late co-founder Khadim Batti, who passed away on September 1, 2026.
The leadership change follows Batti's sudden passing, a visionary leader who co-founded the company in 2014. Kumar, previously head of product and research strategy, will lead the company's next phase of growth.
Whatfix's AI-powered digital adoption platform is trusted by 600 enterprises globally, including 80+ Fortune 500 companies such as Shell and Mercedes Benz. The platform helps organizations maximize value from their technology investments.
Kumar said, "Over the past twelve years, we built Whatfix on a shared conviction that technology should empower people," reaffirming commitment to supporting global customers and partners while building an enduring enterprise.
Operating across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, Whatfix remains backed by investors including Warburg Pincus, SoftBank Vision Fund, and Cisco Investments. The leadership team maintains focus on the company's customer-centric culture amid the transition.
