It is already marked on the calendar! These are the days that are missing to finish the summer vacation and start the school cycle SEP 2026-2027.
In the municipalities of the Tampere city region, school starts on Thursday, August 6. That is about a week earlier than in most of Finland.
Students return to banks Monday, September 7, 2026, with the start of the new year of education, organized in five learning modules and five vacations. The calendar approved by the Ministry of Education sets the activity until June 2027 and includes a different program for the final classes.
