Wetherspoons to open 12 new pubs over coming months - see the full list of locations
The chain will add venues at airports and city sites as it expands beyond 800 UK pubs and tightens privacy rules on smart glasses.

- Among the upcoming domestic venues, The Marshfield Bank Farm House and The Heath Hotel open August 11, while The Belle Vue at Manchester Airport Terminal 2 follows on September 8.
- Separately, Wetherspoons announced a ban on Meta Glasses at all UK pubs. A spokesperson stated the devices enable "surreptitious surveillance," breaching the company's general code regarding customer privacy.
- Meta responded that the glasses are helpful for "listening to music to live translation or hands-free calls." The company added that limiting this technology would be a "major step backwards" for users.
