WVU baseball head coach Steve Sabins has been named the 2025 ABCA East Region Coach of the Year, as announced on Wednesday. This marks the second straight season that WVU has taken home the honor after Randy Mazey earned the award in 2024. Overall, it is the sixth time that a Mountaineer head coach has won the award as Sabins joins Mazey (2024, 2019, 2017), Greg Van Zant (1996) and Dale Ramsburg (1994).
