West Texas Veterans Receive Hero's Welcome on Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Volunteers, veterans, and their guardians gathered in Odessa for a sendoff dinner before the Permian Basin Honor Flight departed for a three-day journey to Washington, D.C., honoring West Texas veterans with visits to the nation’s most sacred military memorials. The Honor Flight Network, a national nonprofit, provides veterans with free trips to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.
