Recently, Weezer's Brian bell was at the debut of Green day's new movie Nimrods. While he was on the red carpet, he was asked by radio station LA 98.7 if Weezer might make a movie, too. Bell offered a bit of a surprise answer: ""We already have. Although I'm not supposed to talk about it. But yes, it's in the can. It's gonna be incredible. You'll see it in 2027."
