The storm front, which moved from southwestern Poland to northeastern Poland on the night of June 23-24, left behind destruction and chaos. Firefighters intervened thousands of times, flooding occurred in many places, fallen trees destroyed cars and power lines, and the wind tore off roofs.
Storms, which usually lasted only a short time, caused a lot of damage in Poland. Especially in Lower Silesia, the situation does not look too rosy. But not only. The recording of the extreme storm that attacked the Rozprza commune is impressive.
Rapid warming in Poland will cause equally violent storms and gales. The Government Security Center has sent out a weather alert. It covers 16 provinces. Dangerous weather may cause power outages.
IMGW has issued two types of storm warnings. The alerts are in effect throughout the country, with winds of up to 100 km/h possible.
