Several hundred mobilized employees gathered at the inter-union meeting of the Yvelines automotive factory on Thursday, 23 April. The manufacturer plans to cut the workforce by almost half by 2028.
REPORT - Hundreds of workers and their supporters were gathered in this western Paris municipality this Thursday. They protested against the stop of the assembly of cars on the site, a new blow for the French automotive industry.
The Stellantis site in Poissy (Yvelines) will stop manufacturing cars from 2029 and focus on other activities. The site will continue to produce vehicle construction parts. Stellantis promises that there will be no layoffs.
This Thursday, employees of the Stellantis factory in Poissy are called to stop work. Jonathan dos Santos, CGT representative of the site, hopes to make the management fold after his announcements last week.
