We are average – women in Lithuania earn less than men, but reforms will change that
The latest Eurostat data shows that in the European Union, women earn on average 12 percent less than men. Lithuania's indicator is half a percent better than the Community. Experts say we are making progress, but more slowly than we would like. And they hope that the gender quotas introduced for large companies and the transparent remuneration directive that will come into force next year will shake up the situation.
