To the editor: S.B. 4 would protect election integrity
Ohio’s elections are some of the most secure in the nation. We should be proud of that. Yet, no system is perfect, and even in a state as committed to electoral integrity as ours, we cannot afford complacency. While voter fraud in Ohio is exceptionally rare — just 18 charges out of over 14.7 million ballots cast since 2019 — the consequences of even one fraudulent vote can be profound.

Knowing one’s vote counts and, just as importantly, is not being canciled, is a fundamental concern in our republic. In the run up to the November 2024 elections, a nearly two-thirds majority of Rasmussen poll respondents indicated election integrity apprehensions.
