Wave of Ukrainian drones targets Moscow in reported overnight strike

Russian air defense units have shot down at least 15 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) en route to Moscow, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said.

Russian air defenses shot down 18 drones targeting Moscow overnight on Monday, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said, according to the BBC Russian service. Authorities in other parts of Russia also reported shooting down enemy drones, with the Russian Defense Ministry saying the military destroyed most of them over the Astrakhan region. Ukraine has been fighting an invasion of its territory by Russian forces for four years.
