Water recedes at Smothers Park after week-long flooding
OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) -- In Owensboro, people are finally able to see the pavement at Smothers Park as floodwaters have started to recede. Officials say they've begun the shift from response to recovery efforts. The Ohio River has completely receded from the park and Veterans Boulevard. Cleanup begins downtown Owensboro following flood
Crews are hard at work clearing debris and restoring downtown after recent flooding. Veterans Boulevard, the Lazy Dayz Playground, and Smothers Park east of the concession stand are expected to reopen today.
