- Mullin cited state-specific figures of 190,832 in California, 35,152 in New Jersey, 15,903 in Nevada, and 14,576 in Pennsylvania. Nevada election officials verified all individuals identified by DHS as noncitizens were actually citizens.
- Chioma Chukwu, executive director of American Oversight, stated the department should "show the American people the receipts," asserting that "Many of the Trump administration's efforts... have spectacularly fallen apart."
- Correspondence to state authorities stated there "may be as many as" that amount, while experts warn commercial database analyses without specific identifiers often produce false matches, failing to distinguish between "potential" and "confirmed" cases.
