Washington’s food banks are stretched thin • Washington State Standard

There was a jar of chili sauce, two onions, and some coffee creamer.  How do you make a meal out of that?  And yet that’s what we’re expecting the families who rely on food banks to do.   This situation will only get worse with impending cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP.
