According to the Polish Armed Forces General Staff, the fighters, along with Polish and Dutch crews, will begin patrolling Polish skies. This is the second such mission this year. The previous operation began in January and lasted until the summer.
The arrival of the F-35s in Poland was announced in Poznań on Saturday by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. On Monday, modern F-35 fighter jets from the Royal Norwegian Air Force will land at Poznań-Krzesiny Airport. Over the coming weeks, the aircraft will patrol the airspace over Poland, alongside Polish and Dutch aircraft, as part of a mission to strengthen the defense of NATO's eastern flank.
