In Rotterdam, more than 80,000 people rang in the New Year with the National Fireworks display from the Erasmus Bridge. This was announced by the organizers of the fireworks show, which was nearly cut this year but was saved at the last minute last month by a decision by the Rotterdam City Council to release funding.
