Waitrose forced to apologise after making Christmas food error on its website
Waitrose said the correct image has been added after the website mix-up, while shoppers were warned about several recent product recalls.
Waitrose apologized for displaying the wrong image online for its Yule Log Sausage Roll, with the correct image of the 0.85kg festive item now added to the website.
A Waitrose spokesperson blamed the confusion on mixing up "Logs" with "Wreaths" while preparing festive imagery, stating, "Yule never believe the pastry pickle we got ourselves into."
Launched in 2025, the No.1 Yule Log Sausage Roll features outdoor-reared British pork, turkey, ham, and chestnut filling as part of Waitrose's Christmas range.
Waitrose is managing recalls for Gilbert's Kosher Chopped Liver and Tuna Pâté , with shoppers advised to return affected items for a full refund.
The supermarket also issued a recall for Essential Unsweetened Oat Drink due to spoilage risks, as the company maintains "continued commitment to the highest standards of product quality," a spokesperson said.
