Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić indirectly confirmed today that the Hungarian company MOL is negotiating with the Russian side about the purchase of the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS).
MOL could close a deal of historic proportions within weeks. After the Russians, the Hungarian giant could become the new majority owner of NIS, the Serbian state-owned oil company. The negotiations with MOL were confirmed by Aleksandar Vucic, who also tried to dispel the scare rumors surrounding the transaction.
The United States expects an agreement between Hungary and Russia on the takeover of the Serbian Oil Company (NIS) to be reached by January 23, so that NIS can continue its work - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic emphasized on Belgrade public television, where he spoke about the expectation of a quick agreement between the Russian shareholders and the potential buyer - in this case, MOL.
