On July 2, the VOX party filed a complaint with the European Commission to initiate an infringement procedure against the Government of Pedro Sánchez. The reason is the application of the eighth additional provision of the Democratic Memory Law, known as the “grandchildren’s law”, and an administrative instruction of October 2022 which, according to the training, has illegally extended access to Spanish nationality.
