Annapolis election results: Democrats hold lead in almost every race

Democratic candidates held the lead in the mayoral race and in seven of the eight races for City Council. The number of Democratic mail-in ballots far outnumbers the number of Republican and unaffiliated mail-in ballots yet to be counted.

Annapolis residents are voting Tuesday to elect a new mayor, with Democrat Jared Littmann and Republican vying for the position. Littmann previously served in city government as Ward Five’s alderman from 2013 to 2017, while O’Shea’s background is in telecommunications. Voters will also be electing their ward representative.
