Ursula von der Leyen will survive Thursday's vote of no confidence politically. That much is already quite clear. On Monday evening, she was supported by the overwhelming majority of the leaders of the European Parliament's factions. And since two-thirds of the votes of the MEPs present would be needed to overthrow Leyen, and thus the entire European Commission, it is clear that Leyen will survive the vote.
