As the Vilnius region continues to experience an unsorted municipal waste crisis and plans to increase the waste incineration capacity of the Vilnius Cogeneration Power Plant (VKJ), the plant's manager says that its maximum capacity could be increased by about 33–43 percent - from 420 to 600 tons of waste per day.
