Vivace Partners with Stratolaunch to Deliver Critical Hardware on Talon-A Test Vehicles

In March 2025 near New Orleans, Stratolaunch achieved another milestone by successfully conducting and recovering its TA-2 fully autonomous hypersonic test vehicle during its second flight of this kind.
This flight followed the first powered flight of TA-1 in March 2024, which achieved all key objectives including safe air-launch release, engine ignition, and controlled water landing.
Vivace, established in 2006 and operating out of a NASA facility in the New Orleans area, collaborates with Stratolaunch to engineer and produce Talon-A’s advanced, lightweight fuel tanks designed for durability, reusability, and dependable performance.
Dave Cochran, Vivace’s co-founder and CEO, highlighted Talon-A’s important contribution to the progress of the United States’ hypersonic testing efforts and expressed their enthusiasm for partnering with Stratolaunch.
The ongoing collaboration supports swift advancement and real-time evaluation of hypersonic aerospace technologies through the use of fully reusable, autonomous Talon-A vehicles, enhancing U.S. Capabilities in spaceflight and defense.
