Virginia Tech increased its payment to Maryland as the schools agreed to cut the football series from four games to two.

Virginia Tech increased the guarantee its paying Maryland for the teams’ 2029 game in Blacksburg from $500,000 to $600,000. The increase in the guarantee to Maryland was the only change in payment in the four-game series that was shortened to two games.
