Just before 2:30 p.m. Monday, VSP responded to a single-vehicle crash on Genito Road, not far from Winterbrook Drive, in Powhatan County.

Bassett woman killed, child seriously injured in Virginia 57 head-on crash

A 56-year-old woman from Bassett died in a head-on collision on Route 57, Virginia State Police reported. She was a passenger in a Chevrolet Silverado and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
