On July 31, 1993, our King Baudouin died of a heart attack in his holiday home, Villa Astrida. Together with Queen Fabiola, he went to the shelter in Motril, Spain, every summer for years. The Villa has always been a kind of mystery, even for the residents of Motril. Thirty years after his death, the municipality is now opening Villa Astrida in memory of the king. After a memorial ceremony, the Villa will be opened to visitors as a museum.
