Only the hard ones come into the garden - or the true opera fans. At least when the Vienna State Opera invites for the first time to an open-air - or in the self-definition opera-air - in the Burggarten for free on the occasion of the start of the season. Already about an hour before the official beginning, the gates to the plant near the opera had to be closed on Sunday evening, as the maximum limit of 7,000 open-air music fans was reached.
7000 visitors celebrated Elīna Garanča, Jonas Kaufmann and other stars in the Vienna Castle Garden.
The Vienna State Opera starts the new season. The focus is on the anniversary of 70 years of reopening with the return of Beethoven's "Fidelio". Today, the opera invites you to the start of the season with free admission to the "Operan Air" in the Burggarten.
