Surveillance video captures the truck becoming airborne, hitting the Marshfield town barrier and the driver’s father’s boat before coming to rest in roughly 15 feet of water.
The police report states that while backing up to unload bait onto a fishing boat, he mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing his father's truck to lift off the ground, collide with the Town of Marshfield boom and his father's boat, before falling into the water.
The driver broke the rear glass window to escape as the pickup began sinking quickly, avoiding injury during the incident.
