On the territory of Serbia, 20 fires are active in open spaces. Members of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs localized the fires that broke out on the Stolovi and Goč mountains, reports RTS.
Forest fires on the Stolovi mountains near Kraljevo and Goč near Vrnjačka Banja were extinguished after several days of fighting by firefighters, helicopter pilots and other involved services, Interior Minister Ivica Dačić announced. There were no deaths or injuries in the interventions.
About 300 firefighters and rescuers and several international helicopter teams took part in extinguishing the fire at Stolivi.
