Two men were fatally stabbed and a third person died by suicide in a Springfield home; authorities confirm no ongoing public threat, investigation continues.
- On Monday, Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni announced the victims as Khamkieo Chingvacha, 67, of Springfield, and Sachivanh Phomphanh, 47, of West Hartford, expressing sympathies to their families.
- On Nov. 25, Springfield Police Department responded around 9:50 a.m. to a reported stabbing at the 1400 block of State Street and found two men and one woman dead inside.
- Authorities say 43-year-old Kung Kedjumnong of West Hartford is believed to have stabbed the two victims before killing himself, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said Monday.
- The Springfield Police Department's Homicide Unit and the Hampden District Attorney's Murder Unit are handling the ongoing investigation, and investigators say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
- Nearly two weeks after the Nov. 25 deaths, authorities released identities, noting the suspect and one victim were from West Hartford, the other from Springfield, and a service for Phomphanh was held on Sunday.
