France has opened public consultations on three agricultural methods aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through improved farming practices under its Low Carbon Label scheme.

14 people affected by climate change and associations, including the Affaires du Siècle organisations, are now launching an unprecedented legal action against the French state, accusing them of failing to protect all citizens from the consequences of climate change.

NGOs, joined by eleven people who have suffered the consequences of climate change, want to sue the state for France to step up its measures to adapt to this phenomenon.

After the state's double condemnation of climate inaction in 2021, a collective of NGOs and disaster victims filed on Tuesday, 8 April a new remedy for failure to adapt to climate change.
