Organizers of a free veterans’ suicide awareness hike are seeking volunteers to help with the event, set Sept. 30 at 9:30 a.m. at Garner State Park. The approximate 10.5-mile, or 17-kilometer hike, will be led by Texas Parks and Wildlife Interpretive Ranger Jacob Gonzales, who is also a military veteran.
