Vernon Search and Rescue volunteers have been busy getting ready for spring.

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- The Ocean Springs Fire Department spent the day Thursday training on aerial search and rescue operations. A drone was used to practice locating victims in both wooded and urban environments. The fire department shares that this training allows them to cover areas quickly and efficiently, also strengthening their abilities to locate a missing person and respond when every second counts.
