The Venezuelan National Assembly, dominated by the ruling party, endorsed on Tuesday the oil agreement that gives to the United States the exploitation of one fifth of the country's oil reserves, said a journalist from AFP.
The agreement allows the United States to exploit 17 Venezuelan oil fields whose potential is estimated at 65 billion barrels. Venezuela estimates the creation of wealth over twenty-five years at 209 billion dollars.
