Minister of State of Culture Weimer has honoured the award of the German film "Das dreamte Abenteuer" by director Valeska Grisebach at the Cannes Festival.
Valeska Grisebach receives the Jury Award in Cannes for "The Dreamed Adventure." The Golden Palm goes to Romanian Cristian Mungiu for the religious drama "Fjord" and actors were awarded in pairs.
A major triumph for German cinema at the Cannes Film Festival: Just one year after Mascha Schilinski, director Valeska Grisebach won the prestigious Jury Prize with her drama "The Dreamed Adventure." Several other co-productions with German participation also swept up top awards in France.
At the Cannes Film Festival there was the Golden Palme for Romanian director Muniu. The ZDF/arte co-production "Das dreamte Abenteuer" was awarded the jury's prize.
