European Short Course Swimming Championships: GB win ninth gold to top medal table

Great Britain round off their best European Short Course Swimming Championships as Freya Anderson takes gold on the final day.

David Popovici won the bronze medal in the 100m freestyle at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Otopeni and made a promise to his rivals.

The Frenchman was crowned European champion in the 100-m short course freestyle on Sunday in Otopeni (Romania).

Campionatele Europene de înot în bazin scurt (25 de metri) de la Otopeni s-au încheiat, duminică seara, cu un record mondial la 800 m liber masculin, realizat de irlandezul Daniel Wiffen în penultima probă a competiţiei.

Maxime Grousset won his first European short course title on Sunday, in the 100m, and his third medal of the week in Romania (bronze in the 50m butterfly, silver in the 100m butterfly).

Valentine Dumont finished third in the 400 meter freestyle final at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Otopeni, Romania.
