According to its own statements, the USA has attacked two places in Iraq south of the capital Baghdad. The “precision strikes” were carried out with fighter aircraft.

The U.S. military struck two targets in Iraq on Wednesday in retaliation for previous attacks on U.S. bases in that country. This was announced by the US Armed Forces Command for the Middle East, Persian Gulf and North Africa (CENTCOM), saying the targets were groups linked to Iran.
