On December 20, the U.S. Coast Guard detained a Venezuelan tanker, Centuries, who was flying the Panamanian flag carrying Venezuelan oil in the waters of the Caribbean Sea, as confirmed by American Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noam. "The United States will continue to pursue the illegal movement of oil under sanctions used to finance drug terrorism in the region. We will find you and stop you."
