A federal appeals court says it's legal for federal agents to scroll through your phone and take pictures of its contents without a warrant or suspicion of criminal activity.
The Second Appeals Circuit concluded that federal agents can manually review cell phones and other devices from those entering the United States, without a warrant or individualized suspicion.
The bug refers to manual border searches, such as checking photos, messages, files and other data stored on the device. It does not allow unlimited revisions within the country.
