Washington. U.S. forces bombed two Islamic Revolutionary Guard rocket launchers on the island of Larak, in the first military action in just over a month, to which Iran reversed with attacks in Jordan and United Arab Emirates (UAE), just hours after its top leader, ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, urged yesterday the rulers of the Persian Gulf to identify their “true enemy”, understand their plans and confront them, alluding to the U.S. and Israel.
Iran claimed on Monday to have attacked US military targets in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates "in self-defense" in response to US bombings, the first exchange of strikes after a month of calm in the Middle East.
