A fire has broken out at a former convent in St Leonards this evening (July 9), East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said.

Arson Suspected in Hastings Convent Blaze

Hastings police are investigating a fire at the former Convent of the Holy Child Jesus on Magdalen Road in St Leonards as arson. The blaze was reported at around 17.00 on Thursday 9 July and ultimately eight fire engines attended, coming from as far away as Eastbourne and Heathfield.
