Update: Severe thunderstorm warning previously issued will expire at 6:45 p.m.

The warning was issued for Schuyler and Steuben counties."The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 10 p.m. for central New York," explains the National Weather Service.
