UPDATE: Crews battle structure fire on Wheeling Island

UPDATE (10:50pm): The Wheeling Fire Department says they responded to the fire on Wheeling Island just before 8:00pm Thursday night. Upon arrival, crews found flames and smoke coming from the roof. Crews rescued several dogs from the home. The fire caused the roof and the side of the structure to collapse, and the home is a total loss. No firefighters were injured.
