Update after dad allegedly tortured, murdered

  • On Friday, Queensland Police charged a 44-year-old man from Lake Macdonald with torture, deprivation of liberty and extortion related to the death of Andrew Burow, 56, and he is due in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 5.
  • Police allege Burow was taken via car from his Kelvin Grove unit and moved between multiple locations over a four-day period between August 21 and August 25 after arranging to meet Billy John Howard.
  • Police reviewed 1,000 hours of CCTV, seized five vehicles, found a phone, zip ties and other items at a Bli Bli property, and identified eight crime scenes across south-east Queensland.
  • Three men had already been charged last year in connection with Burow's death, including Anthony Perrett, Billy John Howard and Gregory Terrace Snell, who faced charges of murder, kidnapping, torture, extortion and interfering with a corpse.
  • Police say investigations are continuing and they are urging the public to come forward; Burow's family thanked investigators and encouraged the public to share information.
